New Mission

The mission of the San Diego STAR organization is to serve professional individuals who have engagements with business owners and C-Level executives. We offer seasoned and experienced professionals who can build long-term relationships with members of the organization. Our uniqueness emanates from the ability of members to serve as a resource for other STAR members in a professional trusted adviser status. It is our intent to become the leading networking organization that provides warm leads to fellow members that leads to income producing engagements.

  • Opportunities exist to network with members before and after
    the meeting.
  • Members spent time learning more about each other
    through the “Triumvirate” one on one networking session.
  • Members have the opportunity to share testimonials and

  • Sponsorship and co-sponsorship opportunities are available

Strategic Evaluation

The primary purpose of the business plan is to define the business objectives that are necessary in order for the STAR organization to grow and meet its business expectations. The plan aggregates all of the organization’s activities that it must execute in order to build and grow the organization for long term sustainability. The plan develops a systemic path towards the achievement of those objectives.

 

STAR Value Proposition

value proposition is a promise of value to be delivered. It's the primary reason a prospect should join STAR {Strategic Trusted Advisors Roundtable}. It explains how our services solves members problems or improves their situation (relevancy), it tells the ideal member why they should join STAR the competition (unique differentiation).

 

 

Market Positioning

Center of Influence: Ensure that all members touch the CEO, COO and BOD of mid-size companies in a definitive way through
relationships and referrals that leads to income producing
engagements. Position STAR as a viable networking
alternative to Pro-Visors, Association for Corporate Growth
and Corporate Alliance.

 

 

Trusted Advisor

Trusted Advisor is someone who is an influencer with clients and who utilizes other professionals and resources to support center of influence.

 

Referral Maker

Someone who makes and receives quality referrals and introductions through their deal transactions and prospect flow.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED

STAR's success is highly dependent on our dedicated volunteers. If you'd like to give back to STAR by participating on one of our committees, please see which ones could use your help and expertise:

Event Committee
: coordinate STAR events outside of regular meetings (happy hours, picnics) etc.

Membership Committee: assess guest potential for membership, follow up calls to invite guests back, discuss membership applications.

Marketing Committee Looking for someone to make a scripted marketing announcement monthly at the La Jolla & Carlsbad meetings regarding information for the website and newsletter. Contact the Marketing Committee Chair for more information on how to get involved.

Outreach & Diversity Committee: encourage women and minority attendance as potential members, encourage diversity in types of businesses represented, responsible for coordinating the upcoming speaker series.

Finance Committee: help with STAR's bookkeeping needs.

Sponsorship Committee: help co-ordinate and recruit meeting venue sponsors.
